Lead Twos Teacher (2-Year-Old Classroom)

Location: The Learning Experience Tuckahoe, NY
Pay: $20$23 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time, MondayFriday

Lead Twos Teacher Early Childhood Classroom

The Learning Experience Tuckahoe is seeking an experienced Lead Twos Teacher to guide a classroom serving 2-year-old learners during an important stage of language development, independence, and social-emotional growth.

This role focuses on creating engaging classroom experiences through structured routines, hands-on learning activities, and positive teacher-child relationships that help children build confidence and early learning foundations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily classroom routines and activities for 2-year-old children
• Support language development, social interaction, and independence skills
• Implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences and classroom centers
• Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment
• Guide assistant teachers and maintain classroom consistency
• Communicate regularly with families regarding routines, milestones, and classroom updates
• Ensure compliance with New York State childcare licensing requirements

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 credits in Early Childhood Education required, or CDA, Associates degree, or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education
• Prior toddler or twos classroom experience preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Reliable, nurturing, and collaborative teaching approach
• Must meet New York State childcare licensing requirements
