Description KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, JOB DUTIES and COMPETENCIES: Supervisors and Managers should review the competencies detailed below. Assess the employee’s competencies and check the box next to the corresponding bullet point if he/she is competent. Develop new induction hardening processes and report validation results for customer approval. Conduct metallurgical failure-analysis as part of customer complaint resolution for the MFC-CNC Plant and report findings. Assist quality team in maintaining and improving the quality system (TS16949). Assist quality team with external audits. Perform internal IATF and CQI-9 audits and ensure external CQI-9 audits are completed. Must have a working knowledge of statistical process control basics (capability ratios, X-bar & R charts, etc.). Organize and manage induction tooling to continually improve design, tool life and workmanship. Work with tooling and equipment suppliers to solve process problems, mistake-proof and assure zero defects out of induction hardening processes and equipment. Work with the management team for improving overall productivity in the plant. QUALIFICATION and EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science Metallurgical Engineering or equivalent Knowledge of heat-treating processes Knowledge of Forging industry and related tooling. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
