Operations Technician

Manufacturing Equipment OperatorThis position is an essential part of Sherwin's manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up, running, and maintaining manufacturing equipment to produce powder coating products consistent with customer requirements. This position performs various manufacturing tasks as assigned and is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and productive working environment.Schedule: D Shift:Week One: Sunday, Wednesday, and ThursdayWeek Two: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, 6:00pm to 6:30amThis position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company's applicable plans. Job duties include contact with other employees, operating heavy machinery, and access to proprietary information, raw materials, finished merchandise, and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company's staff, employees, and vendors.ResponsibilitiesSet up, adjust, monitor, operate, and clean automatic and semi-automatic equipment in an efficient and safe mannerPerform assigned manufacturing tasksMonitor raw materials and finished goods for qualityComply with policies and standard operating proceduresKeep equipment logs, perform minor repairs, and report breakdowns in a timely mannerMaintain production records and reporting as requiredCollaborate with other departments to complete production orders on timeSafely operate forklift truck, pallet jacks, and other equipment or machineryMonitor and replenish inventory of parts and suppliesProvide technical support and training to other team membersContribute ideas to improve or optimize manufacturing proceduresKeep tools, equipment, and the work environment clean and organized dailyQualificationsMinimum Requirements:Must be at least eighteen (18) years of ageMust be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the futurePreferred Qualifications:Have at least one (1) year of experience working in a manufacturing and/or distribution facilityHave at least one (1) year of work experience monitoring gauges, dials, or other machinery indicators to ensure proper operation of machineryHave at least one (1) year of work experience operating machinery in a manufacturing and/or distribution environmentHave at least one (1) year of work experience monitoring the quality of raw materials and/or finished goodsHave at least one (1) year of work experience operating packaging equipment such as robotics, filling machines, case packers, or labelers, etc.Have at least one (1) year of work experience using material handling equipment (for example: forklifts (stand and sit), pallet jacks, hand trucks, order pickers, vacu-hoists, drum dollies, conveyor belts, etc.)Have at least one (1) year of work experience mixing or blending raw materials and making a product in an industrial batch process
