What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff visitors and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures access control activities and emergency response support within a government corrections location.
• Respond to incidents disturbances and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings grounds housing-related perimeters and other restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit points verify credentials and/or permissions and assist with movement control procedures in accordance with post orders and location policies.
• Communicate with facility personnel and first responders as needed during medical fire behavioral and/or security-related events following established protocols and maintaining detailed incident records.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid drivers license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
