Position: Senior Shopify Developer
Location: Cincinnati, OH (Day 1 Hybrid)
Duration: Long-Term Contract
Job Summary:
The Senior Shopify Developer will lead the development and customization of Shopify stores, design and implement new features, optimize performance, and ensure a seamless user experience. The consultant will also mentor junior developers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and customization of Shopify themes.
- Design and implement new features using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid.
- Integrate third-party applications and services.
- Optimize Shopify stores for performance, SEO, and mobile responsiveness.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
- Stay current with Shopify trends and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid.
- Strong understanding of Shopify platform, themes, apps, and APIs.
- Experience with Git/version control systems.
- Knowledge of SEO principles and responsive design.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Must-Have Experience:
- Strong backend and frontend Shopify development experience.
- Extensive Shopify theme customization experience.
- Shopify app development expertise.
- Experience developing custom integrations and middleware solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with database management and data migration.
- Familiarity with eCommerce best practices and consumer behavior.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver within deadlines.
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
