This role includes supervising staff, maintaining compliance with OSHA and infection control standards, and ensuring quality control in all environmental services activities.**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES*** Supervise daily housekeeping and laundry operations, ensuring adherence to safety and sanitation standards.* Train and orient new employees on cleaning procedures, chemical safety, and equipment use.* Monitor workflow and quality of cleaning through daily facility tours and checklists.* Issue and track supplies, maintain accurate records, and report equipment repairs promptly.* Provide in-service training and assist with performance evaluations and staff counseling.**CORE COMPETENCIES*** **Leadership & Supervision** – Ability to guide, train, and motivate staff effectively.* **Safety & Compliance** – Knowledge of OSHA regulations, infection control, and chemical safety.* **Communication Skills** – Clear and professional interaction with staff, patients, and management.* **Problem-Solving & Decision-Making** – Ability to resolve issues, manage grievances, and maintain workflow efficiency.* **Attention to Detail & Quality Control** – Ensuring cleanliness standards and proper documentation.**QUALIFICATIONS*** High graduate or GED.* Knowledge of institutional housekeeping techniques with at least three years of experience, supervisory experience preferred.* Knowledge of housekeeping equipment and cleaning supplies.* Ability to maintain accurate record-keeping and documentation.* CHEST certification* Ability to maintain confidentially and good public relations.* Demonstrates ability to provide clear expectations to department personnel.* Displays professional appearance and attitude.* Ability to work with management members.**BENEFITS:**At PMC, our employees make a difference to our patients and their families by bringing compassion to those in a time of need.
