Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 26 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Phoenix, AZ. This role involves collaborating with the healthcare team, patients, and families to provide professional nursing care tailored to pediatric patients' age and condition. The position requires adaptability to float between NICU and Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) across multiple campuses, with shifts scheduled for nights. The assignment spans from September 28, 2026, to March 28, 2027. Job Details Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours shift, minimum of 36 hours per week Required Qualifications: Current State of Arizona RN license or multistate privileges, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association, 2 years experience as an RN in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Experience at a hospital with Level III or IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is strongly preferred. Experience floating to Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) and NICU is preferred. Childrens hospital experience is preferred. Two-year (ADN) degree in nursing, a four-year degree (Bachelor of Science in Nursing, BSN), or a Diploma Nursing degree is required. Education Requirements: Two-year (ADN) degree in nursing, a four-year degree (BSN) in nursing, or a Diploma Nursing degree. Certification/License/Registry Requirements: Current Arizona RN license or multistate privileges, BLS, PALS; NRP certification preferred. Additional Information: This assignment may float between four campuses: Main, Arrowhead, Avondale, and East Valley locations. No weekend time off will be permitted during the contract. COVID-19 vaccination is recommended but not mandatory; flu vaccination required October through April with approved exemption protocols. Masking during respiratory virus season is required for unvaccinated personnel.
