Are you passionate about helping every student reach their full potential? Heartland AEA is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team for the 202627 school year.

Heartland AEA supports 57 public school districts, 44 accredited nonpublic schools, and 2 charter schools across central Iowa.

This full-time position working a 192-day contract would be based out of our Newton office serving Newton (part of Berg Middle School and grades 5-8 at Newton Christian) and Prairie City Monroe (birth to 21) school districts.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary team members to support students' communication needs.
• Conduct speech-language assessments that are relevant to the presenting concern and meaningful within educational and home contexts.
• Plan, implement, and monitor evidence-based interventions using a variety of service delivery models.
• Support the generalization of communication skills across settings through collaboration and consultation.

What We're Looking For

Licensure:

• Appropriately licensed/certified by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners through the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners

Education:

• Master's degree in speech pathology or communications disorders from a recognized training institution or qualified by a Statement of Professional Recognition
• Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred
