2027 Staff Accountant Intern

Position Summary Novogradac is hiring Staff Accountant Interns for the 2026 busy season (January2026 through the end of March2026). This internship program exposes future public accounting leaders to our partners, business practices, and client services. Interns learn hands‑on staff accounting duties, audit, tax preparation, and research assignments. Responsibilities Complete tax and/or audit engagements for assigned clients as directed by a Supervisor or Manager. Identify and communicate potential problem areas during engagements. Conduct business‑specific research: gather and analyze data, interpret results, compile reports, and make recommendations to principals and partners. Develop effective client relationships through professionalism and follow‑through. Perform other duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications Working toward a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (obtained degree is a plus). GPA of 3.20 or higher. Preferred completion of at least one Intermediate Accounting course and being on track or already qualified to sit for the CPA examination. Basic understanding of accounting and tax rules. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to perform work accurately and efficiently with strong attention to detail, organization, and follow‑through. Capacity to work under close supervision, accept constructive feedback, and adjust accordingly. Ability to work collaboratively and foster a productive, team‑oriented environment with both colleagues and clients. Strong computer skills, including solid proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel and report‑writing tools. Benefits Competitive hourly rate of $31/hr with continuous market review.
