Maintenance Technician 2nd Shift

Assists other maintenance personnel in performing mechanical maintenance. Primary Responsibilities Follow and ensure that coworkers adhere to all applicable safe work policies & procedures. Maintain a safe & clean work area. Troubleshoot electrical and electronic components. Ensure that all work orders provided are completed as requested, or solution is reached. Maintain parts inventory. Complete all paper work and data entry as required. Assist in the training of coworkers. Other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Must be able to read mechanical diagrams and electrical schematics. Must have a good knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Required Skills Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Intermediate computer skills Problem solving and critical thinking Must be able to read & use a non metric measuring tape Must be able to count & perform simple mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, & division) Educational Requirements High School Diploma or higher preferred, but not required At least 5 years of experience, or documented training. Physical Demands The employee is regularly required to walk and talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit. Vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment Work space is not climate controlled and can reach both hot and cold extremes (30 degrees – 110 degrees Fahrenheit).
