Job Summary The Principal Controls Engineer (Field Service Engineering) leads the Active Protection (APS) initiative including installation, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and customer support at various domestic and international locations. Assists in developing and provides feedback on system installation drawings, documents, and procedures. Leads and performs APS kit installations, and develops familiarity with customer equipment, sites, and teams. Solves complex problems as they develop; ensures safety, quality, and schedule relative to the assigned contractual tasks. Will be the expert in APS field system installations. Travel may include OCONUS trips.Ability to obtain a Security Clearance is required. Additional Responsibilities Oversee installations and ensure compliance with all technical and program requirements. Perform root-cause analysis, advanced troubleshooting, and resolve system issues across hardware, software, radar, optics, wiring, and real-time controls. Document installations, issues, and resolutions to meet reporting requirements. Required Qualifications Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 8-10 years' experience Associate's DegreeDiscipline/Major: Engineering degree requiredCritical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Preferred Qualifications Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree is highly preferred.Discipline / Major: Electrical, or Electromechanical Engineering.Knowledge, skills & abilities:Electromechanical Systems. Travel Requirements More than 50% travel likely. Pay Range (USD) $119,400 - $161,500 Pay Transparency Statement The salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training.
