JOB Requirements

At least 2 years of Medical Assistant and 1 year of medical Receptionist work experience in a physician’s office Practice.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• MA certificate of completion/diploma
• Must be proficient in EMR/EHR
• Must have excellent computer and typing skills
• Must be a team player and dedicated to patient care
• Must be able to answer phone calls and function in a busy environment.
• Must be able to make appointments and handle Front desk tasks.
• Must be able to interact professionally and politely with patients/doctors at all times.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must have good organizational and follow up skills.
• Fluency in Spanish is desirable

Summary

As a Medical Assistant (MA), you will be integral in delivering high-quality patient care and administrative support within a medical office setting. Reporting to the office manager and physician. Your role encompasses managing EHR systems, conducting patient intake, and monitoring vital signs, Prescriptions, answering phone calls, making patient appointments, check in and check out patients. Your core skills in medical terminology combined with premium expertise in Respiratory care and Sleep Medicine, will enhance patient experiences.

Responsibilities

• Utilize EHR systems to assist in patient intake, including taking vital signs and documenting medical histories, sending e-prescriptions etc.
• Request and obtain authorizations for specialty procedures, devices, scheduling the procedures and anything else needed to provide specialty services to the patients.
• Provide medical and administrative support by managing detailed patient records and scheduling appointments and any other tasks delegated.
• Answer phone calls and perform front and back-office tasks as needed
• To maintain accurate patient information and facilitate communication.
• Support healthcare providers in delivering patient care.
• Communicate effectively and politely with patients and their families, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
• Ensure a clean and organized medical office environment, adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
