Job Summary: Technology Quality Technician - Sugar Land, TX
About the RoleJoin a leading manufacturing team as a Technology Quality Technician in Sugar Land, TX. This hands-on role is ideal for detail-oriented professionals passionate about quality assurance and manufacturing excellence. You'll play a critical part in ensuring product reliability and driving continuous improvement across high-impact projects. Responsibilities - Conduct thorough inspections of parts, components, materials, subassemblies, and finished equipment per defined specifications.
- Perform visual, dimensional, physical, and mechanical inspections using calibrated measurement tools.
- Execute manufacturing and engineering tests following established procedures and standard work.
- Document inspection and test results accurately in the quality database; verify data stability over time.
- Assist in designing, setting up, and reviewing test fixtures and hazard analyses.
- Collaborate with Quality Engineering, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives using manufacturing system principles and tools.
- Adhere strictly to all safety and quality protocols; wear required PPE at all times. Required Skills and Experience - Minimum 3 years of quality inspection or manufacturing quality experience.
- Proficient use of precision measurement tools: calipers, micrometers, gauges.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Strong knowledge of inspection techniques and quality processes.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Experience in a shop or manufacturing environment.
- High School Diploma or GED. Preferred Skills - Advanced knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience with CMM equipment.
- SAP experience.
- Background in the oil and gas industry. Benefits - Competitive pay: $21.00-$28.00/hour based on experience.
