Job Description

As a Security Officer Screening Examiner in Jeffersonville, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help maintain a welcoming, controlled environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a visible presence that helps deter incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology manufacturing location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and packages entering the facility in accordance with access-control procedures, verifying identification and maintaining required entry records.
• Monitor screening equipment, access points, and visitor processing areas; report unusual activity, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and communicating with Allied Universal supervision and client representatives as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned screening areas, the business, and perimeter, documenting observations and helping to deter unauthorized access.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
