One of the largest home delivery and distribution companies in the U.S is seeking an experienced Flatbed Manager. The Flatbed Manager position provides support to home delivery services for the designated market area. This role will also be the liaison between SLB Freightage and our contracted partner. Position is responsible for managing daily operations of flatbed drivers and responsible for generating positive customer satisfaction. This is a hybrid position that requires mandatory travel on a daily and/or weekly basis.

Job Duties:

• Monitoring employee Delivery Drivers
• Delivering satisfactory customer feedback
• Routing
• Delivery Team Check In
• Ensure the performance of customer contract requirements at service levels that exceed the customer's standards
• Recruitment and retention of flatbed drivers
• Manage driver scheduling, routing, and maintain positive relationship with drivers and contract representatives
• Delivering on SOPs and metric standards daily.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• 3PL experience
• Computer experience a must Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook proficient
• Excellent written / verbal communication skills
• Leadership and motivational skills
• Must be willing to work flexible schedule
• Must have Monday thru Saturday availability
• Minimum of 2 years transportation/logistics management experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills, and problem-solving ability
• Knowledge of DOT regulations a plus
• Experience in managing a P&L
• Ability to travel within managed area to meet with drivers and contracted partner as needed/required
• Must have reliable transportation
• Ability to maintain communication and follow up consistently via email and text on all conversations/issues
