Job Summary: The Manager in Training (MIT) program is designed to develop future Retail Sales Managers at True Legacy Homes. As an MIT, you will gain hands‑on experience in estate sales operations, team management, and customer service. Under the guidance of a Retail Sales Manager, you will learn how to lead a team, drive sales, and create a seamless shopping experience for customers. Upon successful completion of the MIT program, you will have the opportunity to advance into a Retail Sales Manager role, where you will lead your own sales team.
MUST HAVE WEEKEND AVAILABILITY
Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in managing estate sale events, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service. Support the Retail Sales Manager in team supervision, training, and performance management. Engage with customers, provide product knowledge, and ensure a positive shopping experience. Help with merchandising, inventory organization, and overall store presentation. Work closely with the Donation Team and Movers to facilitate seamless estate transitions. Uphold company policies, procedures, and safety standards. Requirements: Valid Class C driver’s license. Open availability (including weekends and holidays) to meet retail business needs. Verifiable 2 years or more experience in a retail or hospitality setting is required. Strong leadership potential with excellent communication and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, physically active environment. Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S. Ability to communicate in English. Preferred Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous supervisory experience in a retail or hospitality setting preferred. Physical Requirements: Frequent travel within the county and occasionally to neighboring counties. Prolonged periods of sitting, walking, and standing. Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50lbs. Bending, stooping, climbing ladders or stairs. Repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, fingers, and upper body. Ability to see and read computer screens, small electronic devices, and maps. Ability to detect specific noises for proper equipment operation. Ability to pass a pre‑employment physical. Work may involve exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, loud noise, or chemicals.
