Business Analyst - Lansing, MI
Duration: 12 months, Hybrid
Seeking for a skilled Business Analyst for mission-critical applications to develop requirements, analyze data, and make process recommendations. The position requires collaboration with professionals to fulfill strategic goals through exemplary IT service delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Develop requirements and analyze data for projects.
- Lead activities associated with Request for Proposals (RFP), cost estimation, and project planning.
- Serve as a liaison to vendors and represent IT system planning.
- Participate in statewide IT initiatives and escalate issues as needed.
- Organize and develop test plans and test cases with business subject matter experts.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient in business analysis methodologies and process modeling.
- Experience in project estimation, planning, and forecasting.
- Skilled in documenting and gathering business, functional, or technical requirements for software projects.
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, and Visio.
- Ability to draft RFP requirements for IT solutions and services.
- Strong communication skills with vendors, customers, and technical teams.
- Experience with application development environments and related tools.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree desired in fields related to computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communication, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project management, or mathematics.
