About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years of operating room experience, with Level 1 or 2 trauma experience required. License: Current RN license required. Certifications: AHA BLS certification is required. Must-Have: Epic experience is required. Description: The operating room is seeking an experienced registered nurse. The nurse must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the operating room setting. Experience in a Level 1 or 2 trauma center is also required. Epic experience is necessary for this role. The schedule includes 12-hour shifts starting at 06:45, with occasional floating to other shifts as needed. Travelers will be required to float to other operating rooms as needed to meet facility requirements. Weekend work may be required based on unit demands. On-call coverage will be needed, approximately 3 shifts per 8-week schedule period. The operating room comprises 41 operating rooms with a daily census of 90 to 110 patients. Nurses will perform a variety of procedures including general, GU/GYN, neuro, ENT, plastic surgeries, and more. The successful candidate should be comfortable circulating for emergent craniotomies. Candidates must be willing to comply with unit needs and requirements. Flexibility may be considered for harder-to-fill positions.
