This field-based leadership role is responsible for ensuring all locations operate at the highest standards of safety, regulatory compliance, and operational quality. This role will lead compliance efforts across one of the most highly regulated childcare markets in the country. You will partner with center leadership to proactively manage licensing requirements, prepare for inspections, and implement best practices that protect children and support operational excellence. This is a high-impact opportunity for a compliance leader who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-site environment and is passionate about early childhood education and child safety. Key Responsibilities Compliance Audits and Site Oversight: Conduct onsite visits, walkthroughs, and formal audits across childcare centers. Evaluate compliance with DOHMH Article 47, OCFS regulations, NYC Health Code, and company standards. Identify risks and implement corrective action plans to prevent violations. Licensing and Regulatory Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for licensing, inspections, and regulatory agencies. Support licensing renewals, inspection readiness, and compliance documentation. Manage relationships with DOHMH, OCFS, and DOE stakeholders. Training and Operational Support: Coach and train center leadership and staff on compliance protocols and safety standards. Translate regulatory requirements into clear, actionable guidance. Partner with operations and training teams to strengthen compliance practices. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain audit-ready documentation including licensing records, incident reports, and compliance logs. Prepare reports on compliance trends, risks, and performance across centers. Monitor regulatory updates and ensure timely implementation of changes. Incident Response and Continuous Improvement: Respond to compliance-related issues with urgency and sound judgment. Partner cross-functionally to improve systems, processes, and compliance workflows. Drive continuous improvement across the NY Metro portfolio.
