Truck Driver CDL A Regional

Position Description Dedicated SOLO Class A CDL Driver in Danville, VA. Immediate hiring. Compensation & Hours Paid weekly Hours per week: 50 or more Solo Miles Pay: $0.53 per mile with 2500 – 2800 miles per week Solo Stops Pay: $15 per stop with average 4 stops per week Per Diem Pay: $25 per night with average 3 nights per week Paid training Schedule: Monday – Sunday (Resets at home) Dispatch Window: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Route & Equipment Solo to: up to 1500 miles from Danville‑VA, WV, NC, AL, TN, KY, DE, MI, WI, OH, IN, CO, TX, IL, GA Route: Regional Tractor type: 2024 Lonestar or 2022 Freightliner Sleeper, Refrigerators, Inverters, Microwaves and New Mattress Trailer type: Dry Van 48' & 53’ Freight: No touch – Packing Adhesives Trucks: 36 months or newer, 24/7 roadside maintenance, company fuel at 800+ maintenance facilities nationwide Benefits Uniforms, cell phone and bootstrap allowance provided Paid personal time off starts at Day 1 – 80 hours accrued in first year Use earned vacation time or receive full payment at hourly rate if not used Medical, dental, vision start at 30 days 12 weeks paid maternity leave Immediate 401(k) rollover and contributions with company match at one year Quality employee discounts on tools, cars, hotels, electronics, cell phones, travel, etc. Drivers are the captain of the ship; job protection when making safety decisions Requirements Minimum 21 years of age Pass Ryder drug test Pass Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years Pass DOT physical Pass Ryder road test Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months experience within the past 3 years or 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years or 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures Responsibilities Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards; maintaining accurate records and logs Loading/unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer Performs other duties as assigned EEO Statement Equal Opportunity Employer and drug‑free workplace.
