Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with a minimum of 1 year of experience in advanced echocardiography techniques including 2D/3D Echo, TEE, and stress echo procedures.

Details

• Cardiology echo unit in an acute care hospital setting
• Procedures include 2D/3D Echo, Bubble Study, Color Doppler, imaging with contrast agents, Pharmacologic Stress Echo, TEE, Treadmill Stress Echo, and advanced calculations including Simpson's Rule, Diastology, LV Strain/LV Volume, and Proximal Isovelocity Surface Area (PISA)
• Day shift, 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirement
• Float within facility scope of practice and to a secondary campus location as needed
• Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of echo/cardiac sonography experience
• Active professional licensure required, if applicable
• Copies of all relevant certifications required for consideration
• Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• RTO is limited to a maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
• Holiday coverage is required: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO permitted; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two, with one holiday RTO request eligible for review
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Travelers must be away from all facilities within this health system for a full year before returning as a travel employee
• No schedule change requests or alternate shift requests are permitted; the posted shift is firm
• Candidate profiles undergo a clinical review to assess fit before being forwarded to the hiring manager for final consideration
