Civil Engineering Intern

Job Description Dewberry is currently seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to join our Civil department in our Baltimore, MD office to work on a variety of projects for clients within the commercial and energy sector. Typical projects involve site/civil design for commercial and energy infrastructure site development and capital improvement projects. Responsibilities Site/civil engineering including grading design, roadway design, storm water management systems design, utility (water, sewer, gas, electirical, storm drain etc.) design, traffic control and erosion and sediment control design. Preparation of all associated calculations, reports and spreadsheets. Field work including site visits for survey and natural resource reconnaissance, construction observation, photo documentation, parking counts, etc. Working on design teams in all aspects of a given project to develop detailed design documents for construction plans. May also conduct code research, write specifications, and assist in permitting activities. Required Skills & Required Experience Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering required Previous internship experience preferred. Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft office is required. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work in a team environment.
