Primary Care Physician Opportunity

A well-established, not-for-profit community hospital is seeking a primary care physician (MD/DO) to join its outpatient practice in Naugatuck, Connecticut. Candidates with a background in family medicine or internal medicine will be considered.

This is a full-time, permanent outpatient position providing comprehensive primary care services to patients across all age groups. The role focuses on preventive care, chronic disease management, and continuity of care in a patient-centered environment. Both experienced physicians and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

Essential responsibilities include providing comprehensive primary care services, diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions across all age groups, performing annual physicals, wellness visits, and routine health screenings, ordering, reviewing, and interpreting diagnostic tests and laboratory results, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients, collaborating with specialists and interdisciplinary care teams for coordinated patient care, maintaining accurate and timely documentation within the EMR system, participating in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based care delivery, and educating patients on disease prevention, treatment plans, and healthy lifestyle choices.

Qualifications include an MD or DO from an accredited medical school, completion of an accredited residency in family medicine or internal medicine, an active Connecticut medical license (or eligibility), board certification/board eligibility in family medicine or internal medicine, and all experience levels are welcome; new graduates encouraged to apply.
