Lead Teacher

Once Upon a Childcare is looking for experienced Lead Teachers to join our team! Holiday pay Birthday off with pay We will help you obtain your CDA (Child Development Associate) Responsibilities: Develop a fun and creative lesson plan suitable for the children in your care Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments Guide children in developing their artistic and practical skills through a carefully constructed curriculum (e.g., identifying shapes, numbers, colors, art, etc.). Track children's progress and report to parents Communicate regularly with parents to understand the children's backgrounds Collaborate with other educators. Maintain a clean, tidy classroom in accordance with health and safety standards. Desired Skills and Experience: Experience working in a licensed childcare facility Child development courses through an accredited college and/or EQIT/Pyramid Plus courses and/or a Level 2 or higher in the PDIS credential system Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms Excellent communication and instructional skills Ability to act as a mediator between children Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable Certification in child CPR or willingness to obtain #J-18808-Ljbffr Once Upon a Childcare
