Position Overview Join our team as a Part‑Time Veterinarian with predictable hours and a consistent home hospital assignment. This role allows you to remain clinically engaged while maintaining balance and flexibility. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient examinations and medical work‑ups. Communicate and educate clients about care and procedures. Conduct diagnostic procedures and surgeries. Maintain accurate medical records. Prescribe medications and follow controlled substance protocols. Promote teamwork and staff efficiency. Collaborate with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities and expectations. Evaluate and monitor protocols for daily hospital operations. Attend daily rounds when possible to uphold high standards. Participate in practice management updates and training. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications (Required) 18 years of age or older. Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited college or university. Current State Veterinary License. DEA registration. 1+ years of experience in a veterinary practice. Strong diagnostic, surgical, and dental skills. Team‑oriented work style and excellent interpersonal communication. Commitment to compassionate, high‑quality veterinary care. Ability to communicate effectively with all staff and clients. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform occasionally demanding tasks such as climbing, stooping, and kneeling. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) Demonstrated clinical knowledge in animal examination and assessment. Problem‑solving skills for managing a high‑quality veterinary hospital. Effective communication of diagnostic and therapeutic options to clients and staff. Professionalism and constructive feedback. Business acumen regarding veterinary hospital management and finances.
