Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg position in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience and active Ohio or Compact licensure for a 13-week night shift assignment.

Details

• Adult Med/Surg unit in an acute care hospital setting
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OH or Compact RN license, currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Required certifications: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Completion of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN)
• Ability to perform heavy-duty physical work, including exerting 50–100 lbs of force occasionally and frequent patient handling
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care using the nursing process
• Administers medications and performs treatments, implements physician orders, and documents nursing care thoroughly and accurately
• Responsible for directing and delegating tasks to nursing assistants (NAs) as appropriate
• Must be able to manage urgent and high-stress situations calmly and communicate empathically with patients and families
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required for this position
