Senior Accountant

MyStaff is partnering with a well-established and growing Omaha company to hire a Senior Staff Accountant . This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant who enjoys owning the accounting process, partnering with leaders across the business, and helping improve processes in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and maintain the general ledger
- Lead portions of the month-end and year-end close process
- Maintain accruals, prepaids, and fixed asset schedules
- Review accounts payable and accounts receivable activity
- Assist with revenue recognition and cost accounting
- Prepare financial reports, variance analysis, and management reporting
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
- Support tax filings, process improvements, and system enhancements
- Partner with operations and leadership to provide financial insight and support business initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and the month-end close process
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or multi-entity environment is a plus
- Exposure to cost accounting, revenue recognition, or audit support is beneficial
Compensation & Benefits
