Quality Lab Tech

At Danone, manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a Quality Lab Tech based in Fort Worth, TX.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Operating and maintaining analytical bench test equipment; e.g. Rheomat, pH meter, etc.
• Certifying and executing micro plating; e.g. EB, Coliform, etc.
• Executing environmental testing; e.g. swabs, air testing, water testing, etc.
• Executing organization of culture received.
• Executing proficiency tests with a passing grade.
• Conducting line inspections/clearances – e.g. pre-op, allergen line clearances, etc.
• Conducting ELISA testing for product validations.
• Conducting analysis and testing for products on hold.
• Supporting specialist with lab supply call outs and stocking.
• Supporting projects for audit compliance-e.g. glass audit, WISE audit
• Supporting and driving quality improvement in the lab.
• Helping ensure compliance to Danone and regulatory quality systems schemas; e.g. FSSC 22000, PrP, TDH/FDA, Danone Audits.
• Supporting quality systems: e.g. the plant ISO and HACCP initiatives.
• Supporting development of quality SOPs and ensuring QARs are followed up as it relates to materials.
• Performing analysis according to plan of control and documenting findings, analyzing the trends and putting together quality action plans.
• Training the operational teams when needed on quality related topics such as GMP, quick hits and also supporting the development of quality SOPs and OPL (one point lessons) and ensuring that quality action reports are followed up.
• Supporting innovation/renovation plant trials related to materials.

About you:

• You will have a bachelor's degree in food science, microbiology, or the equivalent is preferred.
• You will have 1-3 years' experience in the dairy/food/beverage manufacturing industry, including supervisory experience.
• You will have proven ability to establish, optimize and maintain world-class quality system and team.
• You will have excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
• You will have the ability to influence others and be a team player.
• You will have the ability to develop/implement core work practices and standards that ensure excellence in quality.
• You will have the ability to rapidly assess, analyze, and quickly resolve complicated quality problems with little initial information or direction and with varying degrees of ambiguity.
• You will the ability to multitask and manage priorities with allocating time to long-term, quality continuous improvement projects.
• You will be ability to lift to 50lbs.
• You will have strong "self-management" skills and be comfortable working with minimal supervision.
• You will have established project management skills. Must bring leadership, interpersonal and communication skills required to interact with various levels of plant and corporate personnel and influence others.
• You will have willingness to work flexible schedules as needed to support 7-day per week, 24-hour per day production facilities. Work schedules could include occasional off-shift or weekend work.
