X-Ray Technologist

Role Overview This position involves performing radiologic testing, including body mechanics and patient movement, using anatomical knowledge. The technician operates diagnostic equipment, develops films, and prepares the examination room with necessary supplies. Additionally, they perform Medical Assistant duties to support patient care. Key Responsibilities Greet patients promptly and communicate wait times and treatment steps. Provide solutions to patient concerns and recognize emergency situations. Conduct follow-up calls with urgency and assist with patient check-in/out when needed. Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, medications, and allergies. Assist with patient transfers and procedures under provider supervision. Perform radiology procedures with attention to quality control and safety protocols. Ensure equipment functionality and report malfunctions. Maintain and improve radiology knowledge through ongoing education. Maintain current licensure, certifications, and facility radiology equipment licenses. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, TN State X-Ray License required, ARRT certification preferred, and experience as a Medical Assistant is advantageous. Additional Information Full-time staff work rotating shifts, including weekends, while PRN team members work as needed.
