Academy Bus is seeking a full-time Class C Diesel Mechanic for our Perth Amboy, NJ location. $2500 Sign On Bonus! Pay rate is $23.00-$28.00 per hour. Pay rate commensurate with experience level. Shift: * 2nd Shift Responsibilities: Diesel Mechanic – Class C / Level 3
- Repair, troubleshooting, and diagnosis of modern tour buses
- Reconditioning, preventative and routine maintenance
- General lubrication functions such as: Oil/filters, air filters, chassis
- Warranty and repair documentation
- Assist A and B Level Mechanics with skilled work
- 1-4 years of hands on experience, diesel engine maintenance preferred
- Minimum personal tool value $2000
- Proven ability to use hands tools, power tools, hydraulic jacks and testing
- Valid driver's license
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
