TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Charlotte, North Carolina, 28204!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience required, with a preference for 3 years. Unit will accept first-time travelers with experience in high-volume settings. License: Active registered nursing license. Certifications: BCLS AWHONN Intermediate NRP C-EFM may be accepted in lieu of AWHONN. Must-Have: Must have experience with more than 300 births per month. Must be competent in circulating for C-sections and newborn care. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with double labor assignments. Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO could result in cancellation and do not return (DNR). This is a challenging and busy unit. The average patient ratio is 2:1, with 20 births in 24 hours and 30-40 admits daily. The unit sees 400-600 births per month and is busier and higher acuity than usual. Flexibility to float as needed within women's health services is required. Every other weekend commitment is necessary, with a minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule required. The patient demographic includes obstetrical patients 16 weeks and greater, with care for high-risk antepartum and postpartum patients. The unit performs scheduled and unscheduled Cesarean births and rescue cervical cerclage. All nurses should have experience in high-risk and acute care settings. Strongly prefer candidates with circulating experience in the operating room. Ability to perform triage of obstetrical patients and conduct pain assessments and management is crucial. Candidates must be open to floating within the facility as per job description requirements. This position is suitable for individuals who can thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand atmosphere. Completion of pre-start modules is mandatory.
