Regional Category Manager

Position Summary The Regional Category Manager - Americas as an individual contributor is responsible for leading procurement activities for the Films and Foils category across the Americas region, ensuring full alignment with global category management strategies. The role oversees commercial negotiations, strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier performance, and contract compliance, and collaborates with Operations, Product Management, Supply Chain Management, R&D, and Quality. The position requires 7-10 years of procurement leadership with advanced expertise in SAP, supplier management, data analytics, and global procurement processes. Proficiency in English is required; Spanish language skills are strongly preferred. Travel requirements are 15% of the time. Primary Responsibilities Category Strategy & Procurement Leadership – Develop and execute regional procurement strategies that support and extend the global category roadmap; conduct comprehensive sourcing activities; evaluate, qualify, and develop suppliers in collaboration with global category management; prepare and present monthly category performance updates. Supplier & Relationship Management – Establish and maintain strong relationships with regional suppliers; lead commercial negotiations and business reviews; ensure adherence to quality, ESG, and sustainability objectives; manage supplier documentation; oversee RFQ and auction processes on platforms such as Ivalua. Global Coordination & Regional Site Support – Serve as the primary procurement liaison for all Americas-based sites; execute global category strategies at the regional level; coordinate with global teams to standardize supplier portfolios and maintain governance. Contract & Compliance Management – Lead negotiation, development, and management of supplier contracts; ensure all suppliers maintain full compliance. Supplier Performance & Quality Integration – Monitor supplier performance using KPIs; initiate corrective actions; manage compliance through sustainability platforms such as BomCheck. SAP & Operational Procurement Management – Create and monitor purchase orders, resolve order issues, maintain accurate SAP master data; coordinate made‑to‑order production with suppliers. Non‑Conformity & Claims Resolution – Collaborate with Quality on non‑conformities; lead commercial negotiations related to Cost of Quality; implement preventive actions. Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Leadership – Work closely with Operations, Product Management, R&D, and Quality; consolidate procurement needs; facilitate transparent communication. Technical Proficiencies – Advanced SAP MM knowledge; business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau); proficiency in AI and automation procurement tools; project management tools (Agile, MS Project); high proficiency in PowerPoint and Office; fluent English; Spanish proficiency highly advantageous. Compensation & Benefits The pay range is $90,000–$110,000 and is eligible for an annual bonus.
