About the Opportunity

Legal.io is expanding its network of experienced Product & Technology Attorneys to support anticipated contract engagements with one of the world’s leading technology companies. Rather than hiring for a single open position, we are proactively building a curated bench of exceptional attorneys who can be quickly matched to future legal needs as they arise across product counseling, privacy, artificial intelligence, technology transactions, regulatory counseling, and other strategic legal functions.

Attorneys selected for our bench will receive priority consideration for upcoming interim engagements throughout the year

What You’ll Do

Depending on the engagement, responsibilities may include:

• Advise product, engineering, business, and executive stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Identify practical legal solutions for novel and complex technology products.
• Counsel cross-functional teams on privacy, consumer protection, AI, advertising, intellectual property, and other technology-related legal issues.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial and technology agreements.
• Support product launches and strategic initiatives by balancing legal risk with business objectives.
• Partner closely with Privacy, Security, Public Policy, Trust & Safety, Marketing, and Compliance teams.
• Develop scalable legal guidance, templates, and internal policies.
• Monitor evolving legal and regulatory developments affecting technology products.

Ideal Background

Successful candidates will typically possess many of the following qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in at least one U.S. statebar
• 7+ years of legal experience.
• Significant experience advising technology companies on product development and commercialization.
• Strong product counseling experience involving software, internet platforms, AI, data, privacy, digital advertising, or emerging technologies.
• Experience working directly with Product Managers, Engineers, and cross-functional business teams.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound business judgment in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Prior in-house experience at a technology company is strongly prefered.

• Full-time (40 hours/week)
