• Position Type: Locum tenens Psychiatry Physician
• Location: Anchorage, Alaska
• Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off
• Shift Duration: 10-hour days (8:00 AM to 6:00 PM)
• Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Call: Weeknight beeper call with very low volume
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $7,330 - $7,860
• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: Approximately 1 year
• Patient Volume: About 20 patient encounters per shift
• Setting: Inpatient psychiatry, consult liaison, psychiatric emergency services, and crisis stabilization support

• Board Certified in Psychiatry
• At least 1 year of psychiatry experience preferred
• Experience treating patients ages 12 and older
• Active Alaska medical license preferred; clean candidates willing to obtain licensure are encouraged to apply
• DEA required
• BLS certification required
• Strong clinical background in anxiety disorders, affective disorders, ADD/ADHD, personality disorders, eating disorders, and psychotic disorders
• Familiarity with involuntary commitments preferred
• Ability to work in a collaborative behavioral health and psychiatric care environment

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric care across inpatient psychiatry and consult liaison settings
• Support psychiatric emergency services and crisis stabilization programs
• Evaluate and manage adolescents and adults requiring behavioral health treatment
• Perform psychiatric assessments, follow-up care, and medication management
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop effective treatment plans
• Deliver patient-centered care for mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, and other behavioral health conditions
• Participate in overnight call coverage on a rotating 7-on/7-off schedule
• Maintain high-quality psychiatric care in a busy, well-supported clinical environment
