Job Description

Join our dynamic team at a new construction site for a hospitality development in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. As a Sheet Metal Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in the installation of duct and HVAC systems on a new commercial construction job site.

Responsibilities

• Install galvanized and ductwall sheet metal for HVAC systems.

• Hang VAV boxes, offsets, and dampeners.

• Oversee crews and ensure adherence to project timelines.

• Work in accordance with blueprints using hand and power tools, including tin snips and cordless drills.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 6+ years of experience in new commercial construction, specifically in HVAC, Sheet Metal, and Duct work.

• Proficiency in sheet metal installation, cutting, and repair.

• Ability to work with blueprints and mechanical drawings.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Possession of hand and power tools.

• Preferred certifications include EPA 608 Certification, HVAC Excellence Certification, North American Technician Excellence (NATE) Certification, Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES) Certification, and HVAC/R Certification.

• Strict adherence to PPE requirements: Type 2 Hard Hat, Steel-toed boots, Safety Gloves, Safety Glasses, Hi-vis shirt or vest, and Working Pants.

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville Beach, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $31.00/hr.
