Registered Nurse - Endoscopy/GI

Endoscopy/GI Registered Nurse

Seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to provide specialized care in the Endoscopy/GI unit. The RN will perform a variety of procedures, monitor patient status, and ensure quality patient care during scheduled shifts and on-call periods.

Responsibilities:

• Administer moderate sedation and assist during EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, Bronchoscopy, and EBUS procedures.
• Monitor and assess patient vitals and responses throughout procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the Meditech EMR system.
• Follow unit policies, protocols, and safety guidelines, including on weekends and on-call shifts.
• Assist with occasional thoracentesis and pleur-X placements as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current RN license and valid certifications.
• Demonstrate experience with GI and Endoscopy procedures, including EGD, Colonoscopy, and ERCP.
• Able to perform moderate sedation with another RN.
• Possess ACLS certification.
• Comfortable working with Olympus scopes, Medivator, and Scope Buddy 2 equipment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
