Accounting Intern

As an Accounting Intern, you\'ll work alongside our accounting team, gaining exposure to the financial operations that support large construction projects. You\'ll learn industry-specific accounting processes while contributing to the day-to-day success of the department. This internship is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field who are eager to apply classroom knowledge in a professional environment. What You\'ll Do As an Accounting Intern, you\'ll assist the accounting team with a variety of administrative and accounting functions, including: Assist with processing accounts payable invoices and supporting documentation. Help organize and maintain electronic accounting records. Support the collection and tracking of lien waivers and other compliance documentation. Assist with employee expense report processing. Help reconcile vendor statements and identify discrepancies. Support vendor setup by gathering required documentation, including W-9 forms. Assist with credit card reconciliations and coding transactions. Communicate with vendors and internal team members regarding invoice or payment questions. Learn and utilize accounting software, including Vista. Perform general administrative and accounting support as assigned. What You\'ll Learn Throughout your internship, you\'ll gain experience in: Construction accounting processes Accounts payable and vendor management Financial recordkeeping and documentation Compliance requirements, including lien waivers and tax documentation Accounting software and ERP systems Professional communication and teamwork Time management and organizational skills What We\'re Looking For Currently pursuing an Associate\'s or bachelor\'s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Willingness to learn new systems and processes. Positive attitude with a desire to contribute and grow.
