This role ensures patients are comfortable, prepared, and supported throughout their visit. Duties and Responsibilities Preparing patients and treatment rooms Setting up and sterilizing instruments Assisting the dentist using four‑handed dentistry Providing oral hygiene and post‑operative instructions Maintaining cleanliness and inventory Scheduling appointments Updating patient records Assisting with payment procedures Skills and Qualifications Strong communication and customer service skills Bilingual Spanish preferred Detail‑oriented Organized Comfortable using dental software Able to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, patient‑focused environment while following state regulations and protocols Qualifications (Experience, Education, Certification) Previous dental assisting experience preferred but not required Must meet state requirements for Dental Assistant duties Hold or obtain applicable certifications, including BLS/CPR and radiography, as required Work Conditions and Schedule The Dental Assistant works under the supervision of dentists, the lead dental assistant, and the Office Manager in a clean, well‑lit clinical environment. Some evening or weekend hours may be required, and all safety protocols must be followed, including those related to X‑ray equipment. Physical Requirements This role requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods while assisting chairside. Candidates must also be able to bend, climb stairs, and lift supplies as needed.
