Field Specialist II

Field Specialist II – Field Specialist, under direction of the Operations Manager & Director of Operations, supports the safe and efficient delivery of API 510/570/653 inspections of aboveground storage tanks and pressure vessels. Responsibilities Maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring the use of proper safety procedures and equipment. Assisting in the successful completion of all field projects as directed. Responsible for accurate communications with all crew members. Must be able to carry out directions of the crew Foreman. Maintaining punctuality and performing all duties professionally. Performing NDE tasks as required. Performing all work and travel safely. Qualifications Have 2-4 years of industry experience. Have experience with a field service company will be required. Have the ability to maintain good working relationships with co‑workers, management, vendors and customers. Must be willing to travel when needed (approximately 75% travel), with little notice including travel overnight and by air. Have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Have valid driver’s license, have or ability to obtain passport, TWIC card (homeland security). Have the ability to pass background and drug testing. Must be comfortable with heights and tight spaces. Must have knowledge or be certified to perform MT, VT, MFL, PT and other NDE methods as required. Working Conditions May include occasional exposure to shop environment involving lifting of material and/or products up to 50 pounds. Work frequently involves working from a kneeling/all‑fours position. Work involves working in confined spaces. Work is conducted in an outdoor setting and in all weather. Must have adequate vision/corrective eyewear and be able to distinguish colors. Must be able to climb stairs and ladders frequently and repetitively. Must be available by phone during non‑standard working hours. Must be able to pass a Pulmonary Fit Test, if required. Includes heavy travel schedule, estimated at 75%.
