Childcare Worker / After-School Program Aide

Location: Central San Diego, CA

Pay: $19 - $21 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday | Consistent Ongoing Hours

About the Role

We're seeking compassionate, reliable, and energetic Childcare Workers to support students in school-based settings throughout the Central San Diego area. This position involves working with children in both General Education and Special Education programs during after-school hours.

This is an excellent opportunity for nannies, babysitters, college students, aspiring educators, behavioral health professionals, and those pursuing degrees in Child Development, Psychology, Education, Social Work, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and support to students during after-school programs.

• Assist children with activities, recreation, and social engagement.

• Support students with varying learning, behavioral, and developmental needs.

• Work collaboratively with school staff and program leaders.

• Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all students.

• Follow program guidelines and maintain professionalism at all times.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work consistent after-school schedules, Monday through Friday.

• Must meet one of the following requirements:

• Have a minimum of 48 completed college credits , OR

• Be willing to take and pass a comprehension/proficiency assessment .

• Experience working with children is preferred but not required.

• Experience with Special Education, behavioral support, childcare, nannying, babysitting, or youth programs is a plus.

• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance are required.
