Job Description
Registered Nurse - ICU

Schedule

Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) with weekend coverage every other week.

Assignment Details

2 years of experience required. Local candidates will not be accepted; candidates must be more than 75 miles away.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse licensure
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications
• Experience with a patient ratio of 1:3
• EPIC experience required
• Demonstrated skills in managing patients with complex needs, including ventilators and titratable drips
• Ability to perform special procedures such as A-lines, central lines, intubations, and chest tube management
• Experience with various patient diagnoses, including cardiac, respiratory, neuro, and GI conditions

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for a diverse patient population from young adults to elderly
• Manage critically ill patients, including those on mechanical ventilation and intravenous medication drips
• Monitor and interpret vital signs and laboratory results, including arterial blood gases
• Administer medications and treatments as per protocols
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members and families
• Utilize specialized equipment and manage complications related to intensive care
