Outpatient Physical Therapist

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. This role is responsible for the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients and aims to design functional treatment programs that facilitate effective returns to community activities. The physical therapist serves as an educator of patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves, while performing other professional duties associated with patient care and the development of therapy services.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Document medical records clearly, concisely, and in a timely manner.
• Ensure care is provided under signed, valid physician orders.
• Participate in student programs as assigned, providing a positive learning environment.
• Create an individualized professional development plan and pursue professional growth.
• Maintain professional licensure in good standing and complete all state mandated continuing education requirements.
• Understand the organization's performance improvement methodology.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• CPR certification.

Schedule

This position operates on a 5x8.0 shift schedule.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
