Locums Cardiothoracic Surgery in Cedar Rapids, Iowa - Weekend Only, Light Volume

Provide weekend call coverage within an established cardiothoracic program supported by full surgical resources. This role offers manageable case volume and recurring opportunities throughout the year.

Highlights:

• Weekend-only call coverage
• Light case volume with limited weekend cases
• Ongoing assignment with recurring blocks
• Option for full or partial weekend coverage

Practice & Cases:

• Inpatient setting at a Level III hospital
• Adult-only patient population
• Full scope cardiothoracic and cardiovascular surgery
• Mix of operative cases and consultative call

Schedule:

• 1-2 weekends per month
• Typical coverage spans Friday evening through Monday morning
• Additional holiday and vacation coverage available
• Consistent weekend scheduling options

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Active Iowa license or open to IMLC physicians
• Current ACLS, BLS, and DEA certifications
• Experience across full cardiothoracic surgical scope

Logistics:

• Airfare, lodging, rental car, and mileage covered
• Travel arrangements coordinated in advance
