Position: Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Fort Worth, TX


Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) - 6W Renal PCU

Shift Details

• Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36-40 per week
• Weekend Requirements: Discuss during the interview
• Call Requirements: Discuss during the interview

Unit Highlights


This unit features 18 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 4:1. The Progressive Care Unit specializes in advanced patient care and requires dedicated nursing staff to provide optimal care.


Special Skills and Experience Required

• 2+ years of nursing experience, preferably in PCU or ICU

Preferred Skills

• Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred
• Specialty/Unit Certifications: RN, BLS, ACLS

Professional Responsibilities


Nurses will be responsible for hourly safety rounding, bedside shift reporting, and sit-to-commit strategies to enhance patient experience. Equipment and procedures specific to the unit will be discussed during the interview.


Documentation System


The documentation will be managed through Meditech.


Dress Code

• Scrub Color: Specific colors to be discussed during onboarding
• Nail Policy: Nails must be clean and healthy; artificial nails or gel nails are not allowed.
• Hair: Must be neat, clean, and styled appropriately. Hair longer than shoulder length must be pulled back.
• Facial Hair: Mustaches, beards, and sideburns must be neatly trimmed.
• Tattoos: Body art should be covered whenever possible. Uncoverable body art will be addressed individually.
• Visible Piercings: Only ear piercings are allowed; other visible piercings, such as tongue or nose rings, are prohibited.
