We have an immediate need and multiple openings for LVN jobs in Denton, TX, at a state-supported living center serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Your expertise and leadership as a Licensed Vocational Nurse will help ensure high-quality care for those in need. In addition, these LVN jobs in Denton, TX, offer a substantially higher pay rate than the average rate for LVNs in the Denton area.

Successful candidates must be able to complete onboarding requirements and begin their assignment immediately. There is a mandatory 2-week onboarding for orientation and training, 8a5p, weekdays, at the beginning of the assignment.

Pay: $40 per hour

• 24-week contract minimum
• Full-time schedule, 40 hours
• Five 8-hour shifts per week
• Every third weekend off (rotational pattern)

Shift Times

• 1st shift (6a2p)
• 2nd shift (2p10p)

License and Credentials

• Current Texas LVN License
• Valid photo ID required
• TB documentation
• Current CPR certification
• Must comply with facility immunization requirements
• 1 year, but preferably 2+ years as a direct care nurse
• Competent in advanced skills such as gastrostomy tubes/enteral feedings, Foley catheters, tracheostomies, etc.

Requirements

Applicants must provide up to three professional references, pass a drug screen, and undergo a criminal background check; those with criminal activity charges might not be considered.

Primary Job Duties

• Provide care for patients manage medication administration and treatments
• Provide medication education and complete documentation
• Perform computer data entry training will be provided
