Overview The Application Analyst utilizes his/her knowledge of the client's clinical or business requirements, application capabilities, and his/her technical skills to implement and support applications. The Application Analyst is responsible for the implementation of new applications, upgrades, and modifications to existing systems. The Application Analyst is also responsible for the application configuration, go-live support, and on-going client support. He/she works on multiple projects concurrently. The Application Analyst provides outstanding client service and contributes to the organization's mission of utilizing information technology to improve patient care. Responsibilities Install new applications, new components, and upgrade existing applications. Configure application settings. Provide go-live and rollout support. Provide training and support for end users on new applications, modules, and functionality. Provide application troubleshooting support for the application(s). Resolve the issue, forward it to the correct group for remediation, or elevate it to the vendor if required. Assist with determining how a new system, upgrade, or new component can best meet the needs of the users. Analyze business/clinical needs and requirements. Evaluate the operational workflow that is applied to the system. Create system specifications from user requirements. Create test plans and test new systems, version upgrades, and any system modification. Document all outcomes of testing. Design database queries and create reports utilizing a report-writing tool. Monitor application issues and evaluate issues as they arise. Write and maintain accurate and current documentation regarding application(s) supported by the team. Participate in the maintenance of training materials and disseminate materials to users. Provide 24 x 7 on-call coverage for user support on a rotating basis. Work with the help desk and support personnel on escalated issues to identify problems and resolve them. Triage network, hardware, or workstation issues as required. On an as-needed basis, provide on-site support within the Montefiore Medical Center hospitals and/or its’ affiliates (on-site, rotational support). Analyze necessary application modifications and work with the appropriate Montefiore Technology associate or the vendor to coordinate the modification. Function as a liaison to the vendor for Montefiore Technology. Contact vendor to report escalations and obtain assistance with solving issues. Assist with the coordination of vendor activities including hardware or software installation. Optimize ambulatory and primary care clinical workflows, including documentation, orders, In Basket messaging, health maintenance, and visit workflows. Participate in governance review, change control processes, and release management. Collaborate with providers, nursing staff, and operational leaders to gather requirements and improve workflows. Performs other related duties as required. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Epic certification in Ambulatory or Orders is required Solid knowledge of inpatient and ambulatory workflows Experience with Behavioral Health, Social Work and Primary Care specialties is preferred 3+ years of related clinical or business experience Application/System implementation, troubleshooting, testing, and support experience Full life cycle of implementation with go-live support experience Strong desktop skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Critical thinking skills Strong interpersonal skills with customers, vendors, peers and management Presentation skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills On a rotational basis, provide remote 24 x 7 on-call support On an as-needed basis, provide on-site support within the Montefiore Medical Center hospitals and/or its’ affiliates MEETING ALL REQUIREMENTS FOR EPIC CERTIFICATION IS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT #J-18808-Ljbffr ViziRecruiter,LLC.
