Community Retail Associate

We are looking for a friendly, energetic, and reliable Community Retail Associate to become the heart of our daily operations. This is a hands‑on role perfect for someone who loves interacting with people, has a keen eye for organization, and takes pride in creating a positive experience for all who walk through our doors. No prior retail experience is required—we will train the right person who shares our values and is eager to learn. The Opportunity We are looking for a friendly, energetic, and reliable Community Retail Associate to become the heart of our daily operations. This is a hands‑on role perfect for someone who loves interacting with people, has a keen eye for organization, and takes pride in creating a positive experience for all who walk through our doors. No prior retail experience is required—we will train the right person who shares our values and is eager to learn. What You’ll Do: Be the Face of Share Club: Greet customers with a warm smile, answer questions, and help them find what they’re looking for. Process Transactions: Operate our point-of-sale (POS) system to handle cash and card payments as a cashier. Discover Hidden Treasures: Assist in processing, sorting, and pricing incoming donations—you never know what you might find! Maintain Our Space: Help keep the sales floor, dressing rooms / bathrooms, and community areas tidy, organized, and inviting. Share the Love Online: Assist with social media and marketing by creating graphics, taking photos of unique items, writing engaging captions, and helping to tell the Share Club story. Be a Team Player: Collaborate on store projects and follow through on tasks and directions from management. Hold Down the Fort: Confidently run the shop on your own when needed, handle tricky situations with a level head, and be assertive when setting boundaries or solving problems. Who You Are: A quick learner who is excited to master new tasks. A people-person (must like small children!) with excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently once trained. Assertive and calm under pressure, with good judgment when handling unexpected challenges. Detail-oriented and takes initiative in maintaining a clean and organized space. Must be available to work either weekends or weekday afternoons (or both!) - we will be prioritizing candidates who can work weekday afternoons! Physically able to stand for extended periods, lift boxes (up to 30 lbs), and move store inventory.
