About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chair for Family and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. The successful candidate will serve as the immediate supervisor and the academic and administrative leader of the faculty and staff in the department. This role is pivotal in the strategic development and day-to-day operations of the department, with a strong emphasis on integrated education, clinical care, and research missions. The Chair will be responsible for policy, strategic, and administrative leadership, overseeing departmental clinical services, and ensuring the quality of care, patient safety, and regulatory compliance. Additionally, the role involves faculty leadership, development, and evaluation, as well as fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement. Applicants must have a DO degree, an active, unrestricted medical license or eligibility for licensure in the State of Texas, and active board certification in Family Medicine. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in faculty recruitment, professional development, and mentoring, as well as experience in managing complex budgets and clinical operations within an academic health system. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a working knowledge of clinical quality improvement, patient safety, and regulatory compliance. Experience in osteopathic medical education and training environments is also required, with a preference for those who have prior service in a senior leadership role within an academic medical center.
