Assistant Store Manager

Compensation Pay Range: $17.81 - $24.40. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums that may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations. This position will manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts. The Assistant Manager will be expected to lead the store team members in servicing customers. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers. Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom, including team member execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc…). Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak retail business hours (lunch, late‑afternoons, evenings, weekends, etc.). Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching/mentoring team members, and ensuring team members stay current on their training. Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management to select qualified team members. Ensure the telephone is answered according to company policy. Handle all buy‑online/ship‑to‑store, hub and store‑to‑store transfers, and DC add orders, ensuring customers are contacted upon shipment arrivals as needed. Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledger to ensure special orders and outside purchases are handled efficiently and according to procedure. Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and friendly, issue refunds accurately using the correct payment methods, and stage returned merchandise correctly. Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store. Communicate Zipline messages, and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned. Ensure all team members comply with company policies, adhere to the posted work schedule, seek approval for deviations, and clock in/out appropriately. Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day‑end procedures, verifying/securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, ensuring night security lights are on, locking doors, arming/disarming alarms, and securing delivery vehicles. Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, computer hardware, in‑store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles. Perform all other duties as assigned.
