Acute Travel Respiratory Therapist

Job Overview

Join a leading specialty care healthcare provider in Michigan's Upper Peninsula as an Acute Travel Respiratory Therapist. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to work in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Responsibilities

Provide advanced respiratory care to patients in a variety of settings.
Float to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) as required.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
Assist with diagnostic procedures and administer prescribed treatments.
Monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition promptly.
Educate patients and families on respiratory health and treatment options.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a respiratory therapy role.
Valid respiratory therapy license and certification.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

This organization includes 225 beds and offers an array of specialty services, such as Heart & Vascular Institute, Cancer Center, Brain & Spine, Rehabilitation, Behavioral Health, Digestive Health, Bariatric Medicine, Women's Health, and Pediatrics.

The respiratory therapy team plays a vital role in ensuring high-quality care across multiple specialties, including advanced imaging, surgery, and laboratory services.

Location

The position is located in Marquette, MI, the largest community in the region and home to Northern Michigan University.
